A 54-year-old-man has been arrested following the death of a woman in Lochwinnoch on Monday. Around 11.45pm, emergency services attended a house in Lochwinnoch’s Ewing Road and found the body of Mary Craig.
The 43-year-old’s relatives have been informed of her death.
The arrested man is being detained in police custody and is expected to appear in Paisley Sheriff Court tomorrow (Wednesday).

A statement from Police Scotland said: “A 54-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the death of a 43-year-old woman following an incident in Lochwinnoch on Monday May 26.
“Around 2345 hours on Monday night, emergency services attended a house in Ewing Road, Lochwinnoch and found the body of Mary Craig within. Relatives are aware.”
