Detectives have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a man in the Seedhill area of Paisley.
A 27-year-old, named as local man Graeme Kay was stabbed and seriously injured at an address in Kilnside Road around 4.30am.
He was found bleeding in the close and was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital but later died.
Yesterday, tributes started to build up outside Mr Kay’s flat where a union flag was draped on a fence, covered with messages from family and friends.
Detective Inspector Martin Fergus, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said on Sunday: “We are working to establish the circumstances which led up to the 27-year-old man being injured.
“I’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Kilnside Road in the early hours of this morning who may have witnessed a disturbance or noticed anyone acting suspiciously.”
