RYANAIR OFFICIALLY OPENS GLASGOW INTERNATIONAL BASE (NO 69)

9 NEW ROUTES, OVER 850,000 CUSTOMERS

Ryanair, Scotland’s favourite airline, today (28 Oct) officially opened its 3rd Scottish base (69th in total) in Glasgow with 1 based aircraft, 7 new routes for winter and 9 new routes for summer 2015, delivering over 850,000 passengers p.a. and supporting over 850 “on-site” jobs* at Glasgow International Airport.

Ryanair’s Glasgow base will deliver:

· 1 based aircraft
· 7 winter routes (including Dublin and London Stansted 3 x daily)
· 9 summer routes (Bydgoszcz, Carcassonne, Chania, Derry, Dublin, London, Riga, Warsaw & Wroclaw)
· Over 850,000 customers p.a.
· Over 850* “on-site jobs”

Ryanair celebrated the opening of its new Glasgow International base by releasing 100,000 seats on sale at prices from £19.99 for travel in November, December and January, which are available for booking until midnight Thursday (30 Oct).

Ryanair’s UK Sales and Marketing Manager, Maria Macken said:
