Police are appealing for information following the theft of a three figure sum from a bookmakers in Paisley.
On Friday, 4th December a man went into Ladbrokes, Wellmeadow Street, Paisley and grabbed money from behind the counter before making off on foot towards either Broomlands Street or Sandholes Street.
The incident happened around 8.20pm in the evening.
The suspect is described as white, 18 to 30 years of age, and was wearing a black hooded top with red drawstring on the hood, black tracksuit bottoms, two-tone trainers and thick black woollen gloves.
Detective Constable Louise Kane, Paisley CID, said: “The suspect took advantage of the fact that staff in the shop were distracted helping an elderly customer. Staff tried to stop him but he managed to make off.
“Thankfully no one was injured but it was very frightening for those involved.”
