Police are continuing enquiries after a man was assaulted and robbed in Paisley on Monday.
A 22-year-old man was walking at Lonend, near to the Watermill Hotel when he was approached by a man who assaulted him and stole his coat which contained his wallet, phone and other personal items.
The incident happened on Monday 23rd November 2015 around 11pm.
The suspect is described as white, in his 20s, around 5 ft 7 inches in height, with a slim build and facial hair. He was wearing a dark coloured waterproof jacket, dark jeans and wearing a dark coloured baseball cap.
Officers are in the process of gathering and reviewing CCTV footage in an effort to glean additional information regarding the incident.
Detective Constable John Sharkey of Paisley Police Office said today “This is one of the main roads in Paisley and there would have been other people and passing motorists around at the time of the incident. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to contact us as they may have information which could assist us in tracing the suspect responsible for this incident.”
