Police Scotland has reported that a number of vehicles being broken into on Tuesday in the Johnstone and Renfrew areas.
A spokesperson said: “Please ensure all vehicles are locked when unattended and all valuable items including tools are secured or removed where possible.
“At this time of year vehicles can be the target for thieves looking to steal Christmas presents. Please ensure that all presents and purchases are removed overnight or are out of sight so as not to attract thieves.
“Have a happy and safe Christmas!”
