Police are appealing for witnesses following the death of a woman after she knocked down by a car in a hit-and-run incident in Paisley.
Angela McGregor, 48, was hit by a Volkswagen Golf in Love Street near to its junction with Albion Street on Wednesday 23rd December but died from her injuries on Christmas Day.
Ms McGregor, of Wallace Street, Paisley was struck around 7.55pm and the vehicle didn’t stop at the time of the crash, and the driver and the vehicle involved were later traced.
Sergeant Mark Miller from the Divisional Road Policing Unit in Paisley is appealing for witnesses, he said “The investigation into this fatal crash is continuing, and I would urge any witnesses to the road crash, or anyone with information that may assist police enquiries to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
