Paisley.org.uk’s own Danielle McGowan steps up to the challenge of the 26 miles of this years Kiltwalk which starts at Hampden Park, Glasgow and ends on the banks of Loch Lomond at Balloch.

Danielle was inspired by matters close to home when her own daughter was in Yorkhill Hospital (Royal Hospital for Sick Children) at an early age and she seen the plight of some of the young kids in the wards which tugged the heartstrings but she also seen the professionalism, warmth and compassion that the staff showed to every young person in the wards.

Every year the walkers of the Kiltwalk unite and pay tribute to the amazing and brave children who have touched their lives and the people who are caring for the young people and their families who are looking for re-assurance and their own loved ones to come home safe and healthy. Unfortunately this isnt always the case so money raised goes to help the likes of CHAS, A&M Scotland, Calum’s Cabin and many more… This is the first year that every penny raised goes directly to the charities mentioned on kiltwalk.co.uk

You can help the charities by sponsoring Danielle by going to the Virgin Money Giving Page here. Please give generously and remember it’s not for the person its for Scotland’s Kids.
