A fundraising page has been set up in the name of tragic Renfrew teen Sarah Goldie.
Sarah disappeared on 11th March, but on Sunday her body was found in the River Clyde.
A Go Fund Me page set up in Sarah’s memory to raise money for the Glasgow Humane Society.
As we published this article, the page has raised over £1,800 for the society – smashing the target set of £600.
Glasgow Humane Society, a registered charity has been around since 1790 from their Boathouse and Residential base at Glasgow Green.
The day Sarah went missing, there were reports of a woman in the water and her handbag was found next to the River Clyde.
Since that day the Glasgow Humane Society have been searching the waters for her.
The Society’s main aims as a charity is the preservation of human life in and around the waterways of Greater Glasgow.
They give a provision of lifeboat / safety services where and when requested.
They give advice to councils, emergency services, universities and schools businesses, riverside users and general members of the public on safety and accident prevention on waterways.
