University of the West of Scotland’s (UWS) Paisley campus is hosting an open day with a festival flavour on Saturday complete with live music from Scottish rock band, Fatherson.
The University is encouraging potential students and interested members of the community to come along to the festival-themed event, which will give them the chance to immerse themselves in university life and discover all the amazing opportunities available to study at UWS.
The open day will include a programme of engaging talks, presentations and live demos by inspiring academics from a range of UWS’ schools.
There will also be action packed subject immersion zones and a student life zone with academics and current students on-hand to provide information and answer questions.
There’s even a special parents’ zone where parents, guardians and carers can find out about the important information that matters to them.
On the day, guests can also learn about the full range of fantastic practical placement and study abroad opportunities, as well as the various funding options and student support available.
Dedicated social media stations will also be in place to give guests the chance to capture and share their UWS open day experience with fun photo opportunities.
Highlighting UWS’ commitment to supporting Scotland’s creative industries, visitors can round off their open day experience with a 30 minute live musical set from Fatherson, a Scottish rock band formed in Kilmarnock.
Throughout the jam-packed event, guests will have the opportunity to learn more about the high-quality courses on offer at the Paisley campus, which include business, computing, social sciences, engineering and science, and health, nursing and midwifery.

The Paisley festival-themed open day takes place at the UWS Paisley campus, High St, Paisley PA1 2BE from 10am – 3pm on Saturday 29th September 2018.
