Local councillor Mags MacLaren is highlighting two grant funds which may help local groups in Paisley and Renfrewshire.
Community groups and charities may be able to apply for funding from the Community Awards Programme and Grassroots Sports Fund.
Baillie Gifford is one of Scotland’s leading investment management partnerships. They have worked with Foundation Scotland for over ten years and during that time Baillie Gifford has been the largest contributor to Foundation Scotland’s Express Grants programme. Following a review of their charitable giving Baillie Gifford now offer two different funding streams:
- Community Awards Programme – Grants up to £2K – This fund will support community groups and small charities across Scotland with an income of less than £250,000. The fund can support core costs as well as project costs. However, the fund can only support applications where the grant request is at least 25% (one quarter) of the total costs.
- Grassroots Sports Fund – This fund will support community groups and small charities who are trying to improve participation or widen access to sports. Small grants of up to £2K are available.
Councillor Mags MacLaren, SNP Paisley Northwest, said: ““I would encourage all local groups to check out this source of funding and see if they meet the criteria of the two funds.”
