Police pursued a stolen car through Foxbar and Elderslie this afternoon.
A police helicopter followed as the driver crashed into an unmarked Police car near the Torq Service Station on Main Road, Elderslie.
The man was then pursued on foot, as he made his getaway, along the train line.
The incident caused trains between Johnstone and Paisley Gilmour Street to be temporarily suspended.
