Paisley-based law firm MJC LAW has won the Excellence in Community Care & Social Responsibility award at the Scottish Legal Awards 2026.
The family-run firm received the award at a ceremony in Glasgow on Thursday, 17th September. It had been a finalist in two categories.
The award recognises the firm’s free legal support, legal education and wider community work. MJC LAW runs monthly free legal clinics and provides legal aid.
Matthew Coffield, the firm’s owner and director, said: “The Scottish Legal Awards are widely regarded as among the most esteemed accolades in the country, and we are delighted to have received this award. Coffield founded MJC LAW in 2016 to help protect people in debt from homelessness and improve access to justice. The award comes during the firm’s tenth anniversary year.
