A new supermarket is getting set to officially open its doors in Dargavel Village, Bishopton on Friday.
Sainsbury’s Local, opening at 9am, is running a competition for pupils at a local primary school to design their own superhero. Three winners will be chosen to come along and cut the ribbon on opening day.
The new store will offer a range of fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, an in-store bakery, food to go including drinks, sandwiches and snacks, a self-serve coffee machine and other convenience products. The store will trade from 7am-11pm Monday to Sunday at 1-11 Dalgety Drive, Bishopton, PA7 5LN.
As well as creating 21 jobs, the new store will play an active role in the local community, supporting a local charity and Sainsbury’s nationwide community programmes and charity partners.
Leigh Peppard, Sainsbury’s Bishopton Dargavel Local Store Manager said: “We are delighted to be opening a brand new Local store in Bishophton, providing residents and shoppers with a convenient place to pick up their favourite grocery products at great value.
“The new store looks fantastic and we have a great team of colleagues who are really excited to welcome and serve customers.”
