Two men armed with a blade and a hammer robbed a Convenience Store in Paisley on Friday.

Police are hunting the two men, who pushed two shop workers to the floor and then stole cash from the till.

The men only got away with a small sum of cash and some cigarettes.

The robbery happened at the Shopsmart Convenience Store, in Seedhill Road.

Police are appealing for witnesses said that the first man is around 6ft tall, slim, spoke with a Scottish accent and was wearing a blue parka-style jacket and blue jeans.

His accomplice is between 5ft 8ins and 6ft tall, slim and was wearing a grey hooded top and black trousers and the men had a blue holdall with them.

The robbery took place at around 8.45pm on Friday 10th October 2014 and detectives are keen to hear from anyone who has information that might help with their inquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses in relation to this incident at Seedhill Road.

“Two men entered the shop with weapons and assaulted the shop staff before stealing some cigarettes.

“Anyone who has information is asked to contact the CID at Paisley Police Office on 101.”
