A pensioner was shocked to wake up from noise caused by a thief standing at the foot of her bed while he was going through her personal items.
The woman from Corseford Avenue, Johnstone called the police as he left though her door.
The burglar is around 6ft tall, stockily built with dark brown hair, he had a torch strapped to his head and was dressed all in black.
He appeared in her room around 5.50am and the woman called the police from her bed after he made his escape when he saw she had woke up.
