Young footballers are in for a holiday treat with the news that the award-winning Street Stuff programme will host a special festive programme.
SMFCCarbrini@JD Indoor Airdome will be the venue for a series of ‘festive football’ sessions for girls and boys aged 10-18 during the holidays.
Street Stuff is an award-winning programme diverting young people away from possible antisocial behaviour. The programme is a partnership between Renfrewshire Council, St Mirren Football Club, Engage Renfrewshire, Police Scotland and Strathclyde Fire & Rescue.
Councillor Eddie Devine, Convener of Renfrewshire Council’s Environment Policy Board, said: “Street Stuff has proven hugely popular with local boys and girls and it’s great that, together with St Mirren and their superb indoor facility, we’re able to offer sessions during the holidays.
“One of the motivations behind Street Stuff is to give young people something to do and divert them from potentially getting caught up in antisocial behaviour.
“This is just as important over Christmas and New Year, when schools are closed and there can be lots of time for young people to fill, so I’d encourage anyone who wants to give it a go to put down the mince pies and pick up the football boots!”

- Monday 22 December: 6:30pm – 9:30pm
- Tuesday 23 December: 6:30pm – 9:30pm
- Friday 26 December: 6:30pm – 10:30pm
- Saturday 27 December: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
- Sunday 28 December: 6:30pm – 9:30pm
- Monday 29 December: 6:30pm – 9:30pm
- Tuesday 30 December: 6:30pm – 9:30pm
- Friday 2 January: 6:30pm – 10:30pm
- Saturday 3 January: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
