Slides showing an old parade in Johnstone have been handed into Johnstone History Museum, but no one knows when the photos were taken or what the occasion was.
The fantastic snaps show a fire engine, an ambulance, various motor vehicles, floats and a pipe band travelling down Johnstone’s Thorn Brae towards the High Street.
Iain Murray from Johnstone History Museum published the photos online via Facebook in the hope someone would be able to identify when and why the pictures were taken.
So far the museum has been unsuccessful.
