There was a four car crash on the eastbound carriageway of the A737 road near Johnstone this morning.
The road was closed at parts for just over an hour after the crash around 7.15am.
Police said that two drivers, a 25-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man, were taken by ambulance to Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for slight injuries and were both issued with six penalty points for alleged road traffic offences.
The other two drivers, a man and a woman, were unhurt.
