Police Scotland are continuing their appeal for information concerning an incident in which a man was knocked down  in Wellmeadow Street, near to Lady Lane, Paisley early on Saturday morning.

Samuel Cameron, 18 from Paisley, was struck by a vehicle and is still in hospital at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as serious.

Sergeant Kenneth Malaney from the Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Divisional Road Policing Unit is appealing for two men who were with Mr Cameron in Broomlands Street, Paisley at 3.15am on Saturday 23rd April to come forward and speak to police as they may be able to help in establishing Mr Cameron’s movements prior to the road collision.

In addition to these two men, police would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that may assist inquiries.
