The Post Office has confirmed that it plans to move their Piazza branch to Paisley High Street.

The idea, when announced originally in January, was met with public backlash and a campaign by protesters was launched.

The Post Office this week has officially confirmed the Paisley Crown branch will be moved to WH Smith on Paisley High Street and there will be a six week consultation period.

WHSmith currently operates 107 Post Office branches from their stores.

Recently WH Smith signed a new ten year agreement which will see 61 new branches open up inside their stores, inducing Paisley, subject to the go-head after local consultations.

It’s believed the opening hours would stay the same as it is now, 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Saturday.

If you disagree with the move you can show your support by singing an online petition at Change.org.
