There has been two unconnected serious assaults in Renfrewshire over the weekend.
The first was in Paisley and the second in Johnstone.
On Saturday, 7th May around 9.30pm, a 45-year-old man was seriously assaulted outside the Anchor Bar in Paisley.
He was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) where his condition was described as stable.
The second serious assault happened on Sunday, 8th May around 12.40am.
The attack happened on Graham Street where a 30-year-old man suffered facial injuries and lacerations to his head, he too was taken to the RAH.
Police Scotland have appealed for witnesses and can be contacted on the phone number 101.
