Johnstone Police Office in Quarry Street closed for the last time on Friday ahead of community police officers moving to a new base in Johnstone Town Hall.
Local community police officers will relocate to shared accommodation within the town hall.
The new station will provide a modern and accessible community policing base for local officers and allow closer working with partner agencies also based within the building.
The new public counter within the town hall will be open from 9am until 5pm, Monday to Friday.
It will close for lunch between 12.30pm and 1.30pm and will also be closed on public holidays.
Chief Inspector Simon Wright, Area Commander for the Johnstone and Renfrew area, said: “I expect our new community policing hub and public counter facility will enhance our engagement with the residents and businesses of Johnstone.
“The people of Johnstone can expect to see my community policing officers deploying daily from this location on foot, right out into the heart of the community, while my Response Policing officers continue to be based and deploy from our existing premises in Quarry Street.
“I anticipate our new premises within Johnstone Town Hall will enhance our delivery to the public through the new partnership location. “
