New figures show 173 more people are in work in this area compared to this time last year.
Mhairi Black has welcomed new figures which show that unemployment continues to fall in Paisley and Renfrewshire South, but noted that “there is still much work to be done”.
Youth unemployment also dropped by 20 since May 2015.
She said: “I am so happy to see that unemployment has continued to fall in my constituency. I am particularly heartened by the fall in youth unemployment.
“This fall is testament do the work done locally and by the Scottish Government, proving that you can help people join the workforce without pushing them into poverty.
“There is still so much more to do, as at 3.9%, unemployment in the constituency remains stubbornly higher than the Scottish average of 2.9%.”
