Police Scotland Officers have carried out an intelligence-led operation this morning searching a property in the West End of Paisley area under warrant in an attempt to disrupt those involved in the supply of controlled drugs.
The operation resulted in a large quantity of controlled drugs believed to be Diazepam and Cannabis, with an approximate street value of £75,000, being seized from the property. A number of weapons were also seized.
A 27 year old Paisley man is currently in Custody and will be appearing tomorrow at Paisley Sheriff Court in connection with alleged drugs offences.
Chief Inspector Alison Kennedy, Area Commander for Paisley said: “Today’s operation continues our work in combating the sale and supply of illegal drugs.
“The communities of Paisley have told us that the sale and supply of drugs is a priority for them and today’s operation shows that we have listened to the community and are taking positive action.
“We will be continuing with these operations to ensure that Renfrewshire & Inverclyde continues to be a safe place to live and work and I would encourage anyone with information on the sale and supply of drugs or any criminal activity to contact Police Scotland on 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111”
