Officers from Paisley’s Response Policing have carried out a number of road blocks and speeding checks in known Hot Spots yesterday.
The areas included Potterhill Avenue, Donaldswood Road, Stanley Road and Hawkhead Road.
The checks resulted in one male being issued a ticket for alleged speeding and another male for allegedly driving without valid insurance.
A number of other drivers were warned regarding their manner of driving.
Inspector Tracy Harkins from the local Community Policing team, said: “Officers are deployed into areas of concern highlighted by both local residents and statistical analysis.
“Checks such as these remind and influence drivers to drive within the speed limit. Limits are set to ensure that all pedestrians and other road users are safe when going about their daily business.”
