The car park at Johnstone Railway Station is set to close next Saturday for resurfacing works.

Work will begin on Saturday 5th January 2019 and the car park will not be reopening until Monday 4th February.

ScotRail Head of Customer Operations Phil Campbell, said: “Park & ride facilities, like the one at Johnstone, have proven vital in helping the local transport network grow.

“The work being carried out will benefit customers in the long term by ensuring a high standard of access to the station.

“However, while this work takes place, we appreciate that some adjustment to travel plans may be required. We are encouraging people to consider whether they could use alternative stations, get dropped off instead of driving themselves, cycle or catch a bus to the station.”

The closest stations with parking facilities during this period are Bishopton, Howwood and Lochwinnoch.

Anyone who uses the station car park is asked to ensure they have removed their vehicles by 11:59pm on Friday 4th January 2019.

Customers with limited mobility whose travel plans may be affected are being encouraged to contact the ScotRail assisted travel team by calling 0800 912 2901 (Textphone 18001 0800 912 2 901) or by visiting the ScotRail Accessible Travel page.
