An elderly man is in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a van in Linwood on Tuesday afternoon.
The 84-year-old was crossing Abernethy Drive, Linwood at around 4.45pm on Tuesday afternoon when he was struck by a Vauxhall Combo van being driven by a 51 year-old man.
Emergency services attended and he was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. Hospital staff describe his condition as critical.
The driver of the van was uninjured.
