A man has been arrested in relation to the theft of two bicycles in Paisley.
Over the past few weeks Police Officers based in Paisley have received 2 separate reports of bicycles having been stolen from outside Gilmour Street Train Station.
As a result, Constable’s Doherty and Davis carried out extensive enquires which have resulted in a 55-year-old male suspect being charged in connection with the theft of both bikes.
The officers were able to recover one of the bicycles which has been returned to the owner. The man has been charged with the thefts and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Inspector Tracy Harkins, said: “I’m delighted with the outcome of this enquiry, unfortunately with the passage of time we have only been able to locate one of the cycles but hopefully with the detection of the suspect male we have prevented further bikes from being stolen.”
