Police Scotland has targeted speeding drivers in Paisley with mobile speed checks.
Officers from Paisley Police attended Hawkhead Road, Newtyle Road, Stanley Road and Potterhill Road, last week on Wednesday 23rd January 2019.
However, no offences were detected by officers carrying out the checks in areas that have been highlighted by concerned local residents for speeding vehicles.
Inspector Tracy Harkins from Paisley Police office, said: “We are continuing to respond to complaints of speeding motorists in a number of areas throughout the Paisley area. On this occasion officers carried out checks in Hawkhead Road, Newtyle Road, Stanley Road and Potterhill Road.
“No offences were detected but a number of persons were warned for being minimally over the speed limit.
“Checks such as these often receive negative comments, however, driving at speeds in heavily populated areas can have catastrophic consequence and poses serious risk to vulnerable members of the community.”
