Police are treating the death of a man who was found seriously injured in a Paisley street as suspicious after he died in hospital following a disturbance in Paisley.
Officers were called to Glen Street, Paisley at around 2.45pm on Tuesday after a report of a 44-year-old man seriously injured in the street.
The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he later died.
Two men, both aged 29 years have been arrested in connection with this incident and police enquiries are continuing.
A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death, however meantime the death is being treated as suspicious.
Detective Inspector Robert Bowie of Paisley Police Office said: “At this time, I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of Glen Street near Caledonia Street on Tuesday afternoon who witnessed any disturbance take place, or who has any information that will assist this investigation.
