The Tannahill centre will be running a new activate course with Glasgow University in the coming weeks.
The activate course is a short 50 hour course, spread over 10 to 12 weeks designed for people who are interested in their community, from volunteers to seasoned activists.
It explores a number of topics and issues that affect communities.
The course is available and suitable to anyone aged 16 or above.
Eddie Cusick, Linstone 20/20 Community Engager, said: “What’s more this year it looks as if we have secured a creche by our partners at childcare first.
“We are having an initial meeting where Helen Martin the course leader will explain the format of the course.
At this meeting the community, Glasgow Uni and the Tannahill centre will try to find a time and space that suits the majority of potential participants.
“The meeting is at 5.30pm on Tuesday 28th of January in the Tannahill centre board room.
“This is a great course and I would highly recommend it. Come along for the information session on the 28th and make a decision from there.”
