The Easter Bunny will be supported by Renfrewshire Council and recognised as a key worker this coming Sunday as the Bunny carries out essential duties.

Like the Tooth Fairy, the Bunny is expected to continue working where it is safe to do so while delivering Easter treats.

However, it has been recommended that the Easter bunny leaves goodies at the door.

A Renfrewshire Council spokesperson, said: “We follow government guidance on key workers, however we are ready and able to provide support to the Easter Bunny including how to adhere to the current public health information, including social distancing and would recommend Easter eggs are delivered only to the door.“

Egg rolling at Council parks has been ruled out and it’s been recommended that families stay close to home when exercising or out for a walk

Renfrewshire Council, added: “We know how important it is for people to exercise, while at the same time do our bit by staying home which is protecting the NHS and saving lives.

”It’s incredibly important that Renfrewshire residents stay close to home when exercising or out for a walk and instead of rolling eggs at council parks this weekend, we’d ask the public to be creative with alternative approaches, such as an Easter egg drawing or an indoor trail.”
