Three people have been injured following a blaze at a Paisley takeaway.

A fire broke out at Aladdin Tandoori on the ground floor of a four-storey building in Johnston Street at around 11.25pm last night.

Residents of the flats above the tandoori were evacuated to safety by a passing police officer.

This morning, the fire service confirmed they remain at the scene.

At the hight of the blaze, three fire appliances and one height vehicle attended the scene as well as ambulances and police officers.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) spokesperson said: “Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances and one height vehicle to a fire affecting a commercial premises on the ground floor of a four-storey building.

“Three casualties were in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

“Crews are currently still at the scene.”

  1. I wonder if anyone has looked in to the fire at Aladdin on the 2nd of June because they were already renting the old bookers before the 26th of May just a bit strange

    I hope it was just luck and not that someone started it for the insurance
