Braehead Shopping Centre has reported record sales and footfall growth in 2025, strengthening its position as Scotland’s number one retail and leisure destination.
In the year to June 2025, footfall rose by 4% and spending by 3% compared with the same period in 2024, outperforming regional and industry benchmarks. Tenants have also committed over £10m in investment this year, with 16 retailers renewing or extending leases.
New arrivals include cosmetics brand BPerfect, while JD Sports is creating an 18,000 sq ft flagship and EE is launching a 6,704 sq ft experiential store. Snowflake Gelato will also make its Glasgow debut at Braehead, enhancing the centre’s food and drink offer.
Alongside the retail growth, SGS UK Retail has rolled out a refreshed brand identity and launched Braehead Ambition — a strategic partnership with Braehead Arena and neighbouring XSite to deliver a joined-up approach to marketing and experience.
Huw Kmiot, Associate Director of Asset Management at Pradera Lateral, said: “2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for Braehead. With strong trading performance, a wave of exciting new lettings, and meaningful reinvestment from our existing brands, we’re seeing our strategy deliver tangible results and are building momentum for a strong end to the year.”
Braehead is asset managed by Pradera Lateral, with leasing agents Lunson Mitchenall and Savills.
