It may be the end of summer, but Santa and his elves won’t be getting much of a break as Dobbies’ Glasgow store at Braehead is looking for its festive team.

Dobbies Garden Centres, one of the UK’s biggest employers of Santas and elves, is inviting people to apply for seasonal roles at the heart of their Christmas events.

Joining the team means bringing smiles to customers with every “ho-ho-ho”, listening to children’s wishes big and small, and helping families – including their dogs – enjoy a magical visit. Dobbies is looking for warm, friendly and cheerful people who enjoy spreading festive joy and making every visit special.

Roles include welcoming families to Dobbies’ North Pole adventure-themed grotto, or hosting Santa’s Breakfast in the restaurant. Successful applicants will take part in a training programme through Dobbies’ Santa School to help them feel confident in their new roles.

The seasonal team will begin preparations in mid-November, ahead of Santa’s Arrival event on Sunday 23rd November – a free celebration that officially kicks off Christmas at Dobbies.

Ayesha Nickson, Dobbies’ Events Programme Manager, said: “Christmas is always a magical time at Dobbies, and we are looking forward to creating memorable visits for families with the help of our new Christmas team at the Glasgow store.

“We encourage anyone who loves the festive season to apply, regardless of experience, as our training programme prepares everyone to create unforgettable moments.”

Applications are now open for the role of Santa at Dobbies’ Glasgow store, with elf roles to be announced soon.
