A massive congratulations to the Paisley A county pool players, who deserve huge credit. In just three years back in the counties, both they and the other Paisley teams have performed extremely well.
Paisley County A travelled to Pettycur Bay at the weekend for the SPA Super 15s competition, where they went on to win the event and secure promotion to Division One.
Their success follows an already strong run for the Paisley Burgh Pool League. Paisley A have now earned back-to-back promotions, including their 8–6 win over Arbroath B in the final on Sunday 16th November 2025. Gregor, James and Shawsy won the closing frames that confirmed the title and the move up to the top tier.
Paisley B have also enjoyed a good season. They were only a few frames away from making last year’s final an all-Paisley affair, and this year they went on to win the Third Division, earning promotion to Division Two.

The league hopes the C and D squads can continue to improve and push for places in the Third Division in the seasons ahead.
Both teams have been praised for their efforts. One player from the B team, Stevie Smith Snr, said he wanted mentioned, as he believes he is the most popular man in Paisley.
From Davie Welsh, another well-deserved congratulations to everyone involved.
