Renfrew Community Council has donated £250 to Renfrewshire Toy Bank and £250 to Renfrewshire Food Bank to support families across the town during the winter period.
The contributions will help provide toys, gifts and essential food items for households who need extra support at this time of year. Both organisations work throughout the year to ensure families in Renfrew are supported with dignity and care.
Gary McGuire from Renfrew Community Council told Renfrewshire News: “These groups are part of the fabric of Renfrew. They treat every person who comes through the door with kindness, and they make sure help gets to where it’s needed.
“The volunteers at the Toy Bank and Food Bank give their time, energy and compassion every single week. Our donation is simply a way of backing that effort.
“We’re glad to play a small part in supporting the work they do for our neighbours.”
Gary added: “If anyone in our community wants to support them – through a donation, helping at a collection point, or spreading the word – it all makes a real difference.”
Renfrewshire Toy Bank and Renfrewshire Food Bank both rely on community generosity to continue their work and welcome support from individuals, local groups and businesses.
Renfrew Community Council said it will continue working with local partners and volunteers to support community wellbeing throughout the year.
