One of Scotland’s biggest music stars has been added to the bill for Paisley Alive Festival, with Emeli Sande confirmed for the event last Thursday.
Organisers say the reaction to Sande joining the line-up has been “absolutely unreal”, with a surge of messages, shares and ticket interest following the announcement. They describe it as a moment where “you can feel something building in the town”.
The festival takes place on Saturday 4th July 2026 at Barshaw Park and is being billed as a full-day community festival rather than a standard outdoor gig. Alongside live music, the event will feature fitness sessions, wellness activities, family entertainment and kids’ attractions running throughout the day.
Sande joins a headline line-up that already includes Rag’n’Bone Man, Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge, Mr Motivator and Cammy Barnes, as well as Ms Rachel and Blippi impersonations. The festival will also showcase a wide range of Scottish and local performers, with newly highlighted acts including Kaves, Patrick Hynes and Rock Choir, alongside wellness partner Reset Studio from Glasgow.
The Kids Arena will feature Ms Rachel and Blippi impersonations, alongside a full spread of hands-on and interactive activities aimed at different age groups.
Children’s and family events include science centre activities, bodyworks workshops, a silent disco, Buddie Beats sessions, Mini Manoeuvres, art classes and mini first aid workshops. There will also be Big Kids Little Learners sessions, a Feis Phàislig ceilidh, Scottish BMX School demos, Circus Alba performances, face painting and magicians throughout the day.
Festival organisers say Paisley Alive is designed specifically with the town in mind, bringing together music, family activities, wellness, fitness and community in one space. All profits from the event will be reinvested back into the local community.
