Police have seized two off-road e-bikes and charged two riders following reports of a disturbance in Paisley town centre.

Officers were called to Oakshaw Street on Saturday, 1st August after receiving reports of people on e-bikes causing a disturbance in the area.

Police attended, but those involved made off before officers arrived.

Enquiries were carried out, including reviewing CCTV footage. Police Scotland said the investigation led to suspects being positively identified.

As a result, two off-road e-bikes were seized. Both riders have been charged with offences under the Road Traffic Act.

The incident forms part of Police Scotland’s Renfrewshire Summer Policing Campaign.
