Renfrewshire Council has launched a new award for local businesses that have been trading for at least 100 years.
The Renfrewshire Legacy Recognition Awards will recognise businesses that have made a lasting impact through sustained trading, job creation, innovation, investment and community leadership.
The awards are open to family-run firms passed down through generations and other businesses that have adapted and grown during decades of economic change.
Eligible businesses can nominate themselves by emailing econdev@renfrewshire.gov.uk.
Provost Lorraine Cameron said: “The Legacy Recognition Awards provide an important recognition for the businesses whose commitment, resilience and innovation have made a lasting contribution to our area. These organisations have created jobs, supported local families, invested in our communities and helped make Renfrewshire the place it is today.
“We know there are many remarkable business stories across Renfrewshire, from long-established family firms to companies that have grown and adapted through changing times. I would encourage eligible businesses to come forward and share their journey as part of this new initiative.”
The successful businesses will be announced by the Provost at a civic reception at Paisley Town Hall on 28th January 2027.
