A Johnstone opticians is marking its first few months in the town by offering one customer the chance to win £500 worth of vouchers to spend locally.

Specsavers, which opened on William Street in September, is running a raffle for anyone who comes in for an eye test before 8th December. All eligible customers will be entered automatically, with the winner receiving a bundle of vouchers for a wide range of Johnstone businesses.

The vouchers include contributions from shops, cafés, takeaways, salons and community organisations such as Hays Travel, Starbucks Johnstone, The Pet Shop, Quality Cards Gift Shop, Aurora Hair & Beauty, De Buddha, Trattoria Roma, Dessert Kings, Penmans Pharmacy, Shimla Pinks, Subway Johnstone, Semichem, Greggs Johnstone, Henderson’s Flowers, Bangin Pizza, Lidl, Iceland, Andy’s Golden Fry and Johnstone Burgh Football Club.

Store director Glenn Dickson said the response since opening has been positive and the team wanted to do something to recognise the support from local residents.

Specsavers Johnstone is open seven days a week and provides routine eye tests, OCT scans, contact lens services, audiology and access to the new independent prescribing service for minor eye conditions.

Appointments can be made by calling 01505 801 872 or by visiting the store’s website.
