A busy Paisley road was closed after a bus struck a railway bridge and became stuck underneath.
The collision happened on Greenhill Road when a single-decker McGill’s bus hit the bridge late on Saturday night. The road was extremely busy at the time, as a Scottish Premiership match between St Mirren and Celtic had just finished and crowds were beginning to make their way home.
The 41-year-old driver has been charged in connection with road traffic offences.
Train services running over the bridge were suspended for a short time while engineers assessed the structure for any damage.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.15pm on Saturday, 22nd November 2025, police received a report of a double-decker bus having struck a railway bridge in Greenhill Road, Paisley.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
“A 41-year-old man was charged in connection with a road traffic offence and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
