UPDATE: Police Scotland has confirmed that Naomi Doran, 17, and Aimee Ivatt, 15, who were reported missing from the Alexandria area, have now been traced.

The pair had last been seen around 9.30pm on Friday, 16th January, 2026, and officers had issued a public appeal amid concerns for their welfare, including enquiries linked to the Paisley area.

In an update issued today, police confirmed the girls have been found and thanked the public for their help.

Police Scotland said: “Naomi Doran and Aimee Ivatt, who were reported missing from Alexandria, have been traced. Thank you for sharing our appeal.”

No further details have been released.

Naomi Doran, 17, and Aimee Ivatt, 15, were last seen together in Alexandria at around 9.30pm on Friday, 16th January, 2026.

Officers believe the pair are together and may have travelled to Bellshill in North Lanarkshire. They are also known to have links to the Paisley area, and police are asking anyone in Renfrewshire who may have seen them to come forward.

Naomi is described as around 5ft 2in tall, of medium build, with long brown hair. When last seen, she was wearing a white or grey hooded jumper and blue jeans.

Aimee is described as around 5ft 2in tall, of medium build, with long red or auburn hair. She was last seen wearing a black body warmer and may also have been wearing a black puffer jacket with blue ripped jeans.

Inspector Ross Mooney said police are becoming increasingly concerned for the girls’ welfare and are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace them.

Anyone who has seen Naomi or Aimee, or who has any information that could help, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 4059 of 16th January, 2026.
