Plans have been submitted for a residential development at the former Speirsfield House site in Paisley.The application seeks planning permission in principle for new housing at the site on Stevenson Street, which was previously used as a care home and HMO but is now fire damaged and disused.
Documents submitted to Renfrewshire Council state the proposal is for 21 new homes, along with the formation of a new access road and associated landscaping.
The application (26/0339/PIP) was received on Friday 24th April 2026 and validated on Thursday 30th April 2026. A decision has not yet been made.
Plans show a mix of housing types across the site, including flats, detached houses and terraced homes, with access taken from Stevenson Street.
The application includes proposals for new vehicle access, connections to public drainage and water networks, and sustainable drainage measures.
The site area is around 4,500 square metres and includes existing trees, some of which are expected to be retained as part of the development.
The plans are currently under consultation before moving to the next stage of the planning process.
