Renfrewshire school pupils have begun their summer holidays after schools closed at 1pm today (Tuesday, 30th June) for the end of the academic year.

Pupils will return to classrooms on Tuesday 18th August 2026. However, teachers will return earlier for in-service days on Friday 14th August and Monday 17th August.

This summer also marks the end of an era for Paisley Grammar School.

Unlike other schools, Paisley Grammar pupils finished for the summer on Friday 26th June. The earlier finish allowed staff to prepare for the move from the school’s Glasgow Road campus to the new community campus on Renfrew Road.

When pupils return in August, they will begin the new school year at the new Paisley Grammar School campus on Renfrew Road.
