Frasers Plus Braehead is inviting families to take part in a free Scottie-themed arts and crafts weekend in support of Maggie’s.
The event will take place on Saturday 8th August and Sunday 9th August from 10am to 6pm on the lower level near M&S at the shopping centre.
It forms part of Scottie in the City, a public art trail across Greater Glasgow featuring Scottie dog sculptures to help raise funds for Maggie’s, the cancer support charity.
Visitors will be able to take part in a range of free Scottie-inspired arts and crafts activities. They will also have the option to design their own Scottie tote bag in return for a £3 donation to Maggie’s.
According to Frasers Plus Braehead, every £3 donation from the tote bag activity will go directly to Maggie’s to help fund its support for people living with cancer and those close to them.
On Sunday 9th August, from 11am until 12pm, visitors will also be able to meet artist Jenni Sheward, who created Frasers Plus Braehead’s Flowers O’Scotland Scottie sculpture. She will host a creative session and talk about the inspiration behind her design.
