Paisley Music and Arts Street Festival takes place today, Saturday 22nd August, with live music, family activities, arts and crafts, food and drink.

The event sold out, but 30 additional tickets were made available on Friday morning.

The festival will run from 12 noon until 9pm around Shuttle Street, Browns Lane, The Bungalow and The Clubhouse.

Four live music stages will feature tribute acts, local bands, DJs, acoustic performers, cabaret and a silent disco.

The main stage on Shuttle Street will feature The Background Sound, a Taylor Swift tribute, Smokin’ At Tiffany’s, Comhla Celtic Rock, Dignity Deacon Blue and No Gallaghers High Flying Birds.

The Bungalow programme includes The Latest Flames, Shardlake, Deke McGee Band, King of Birds, Bits & Pieces, Another Whisky, Hugh Reed and The Velvet Underpants, and Dughoose Ska Band.

The Clubhouse stage will feature Aiden Gould Band, We Funky Few, Leisureland and Franks House.

Shuttle will host Steve on Sax, Tom Urie Piano Jukebox, three Lux Cabaret sets and a silent disco.

The Browns Lane acoustic stage will feature Matt Fotheringham, Charlie Gorman, Reflections, Howlin Radio, The Latest Flames, Kiran Hepburn Duo and a 1970s and 1980s disco.

A kids’ zone in Browns Lane will offer arts activities, including self-portraits, stencil-based artwork and paint-along sessions.

Circus activities will include juggling, unicycles, spinning plates, diabolo, rola bola, acrobatics and devil sticks.

A market and several food and drink outlets will also operate throughout the festival.

Standard tickets cost £20. Children aged under 13 can attend free, with a maximum of two children per paying adult.
