St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation is launching a new weekly football programme for girls in Paisley.
Girls Saturday Saints will give girls aged 10 to 14 an opportunity to play football every Saturday at Seedhill Football Complex.
The programme follows the Foundation’s Girls Summer of Football Camp, which welcomed 86 girls across 18 sessions.
The camp ran for six weeks during the school holidays. It focused on developing skills and building confidence in a supportive environment.
It formed part of the Scottish FA’s Summer of Football celebration. This was supported by the Scottish Government’s 2026 Summer of Sport initiative and facilitated by sportscotland.
Nathan MacDonald, Community Education Lead at St Mirren FC Charitable Foundation, said: “The girl’s summer of football camp highted both the talent and demand for providing girls with opportunities to play and engage in football.
“The girls that attended our camp really grew into their own, taking control of their learning whilst building a strong community.
“Following such a positive and successful camp, we’re delighted to provide ‘Girls Saturday Saints’ as a platform for girls to continue to engage in football.”
Sessions will run from 11am until 12noon every Saturday at Seedhill Football Complex, Paisley, PA1 1QU.
