A 26-year-old man has been seriously assaulted in Paisley on Sunday.
Police Scotland are appealing for help to trace three men and one woman.
The assault happened around 1pm close to Tummel Way, Paisley where he was attacked
The 26 year-old man received head and hand injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital where he was released following treatment.
Officers want to speak to three men and a woman in connection with the incident.
There are limited descriptions of those involved however the men were understood to be wearing dark hooded tops.
Detective Constable Laura Watt from Paisley CID said: “This was a violent attack which left the victim shaken and badly injured.”
“It is very important that we trace this group as quickly as possible to assist with our investigation. If you were in the area at the time and noticed a group, or heard a disturbance, I would ask that you make contact with the police as soon as possible.”
